Can I Learn To Meditate?

The answer is yes!

Many of us live busy lives and are mostly on high alert or in fight/ flight mode and we need to balance that with some peace and calm so we feel happier, more content and improve our relationships.

I was told recently 'if you can breathe you can meditate'.

Start by sitting comfortably, breathe in (maybe choose a word to say as you breathe in) and count 1 as you breathe out (up to 10).

If your mind drifts that is your 'golden moment' to bring yourself back to the present moment. Then just practice! It's helpful if you find a specific time in your day and have a reminder. Start small maybe 1-2 minutes and build up slowly.

I often tell clients you have your breathe with you all the time, so when things get tough and feel out of control, place your hand on your heart and breathe anytime!
