What Makes a Healthy Diet?

There is so much confusion about what makes a healthy diet, but there are some simple basic rules

  • Add more fruit and vegetables to your plate.
  • Unprocessed your diet- anything that comes in a packet with more than 5 ingredients on the label is a no!
  • Stop snacking between meals & after supper.
  • Avoid sugars such as cakes and biscuits and watch the white pasta, white rice and white bread.
  • Consider some beans, pulses, and brown/ wild rice to add fibre.
  • Consider fasting - maybe have your breakfast later in the day.
  • Eat slowly, taste the food and enjoy!
